Taylor Corporation is involved in almost all aspects of apple
production and supply. Our core competencies include Growing,
Field Service, Cool Storage Packing and
Exporting.
Our company has seen substantial change during the past
30 years.
Like most New Zealand grower/packing companies we began
as a small orchard and packing facility processing only our own
fruit. Today we are one of the more successful and substantial
growing and packing operations in New Zealand. We now provide
packing facilities for a large number of local growers in
addition to our own fruit.
We believe the reason for our success is due to our dedication
to the industry, our core group of skilled staff and a large
committed grower base. Providing consistent high quality product
and service levels, continues to strengthen our position and
reputation throughout the industry locally and internationally.
Being a family run company with only a small core of permanent
staff ensures our competitive advantage, as our overheads are
kept to a minimum. The balance of our 200 staff are seasonal
employees, of which we have a core group that return each
season.
We have adopted a team approach to our operations, without the
limitations of status and/or title we all contribute in
different ways to our overall success. We freely exchange ideas
and opinions in an effort to constantly improve our business
practices and our total customer service approach. Each area of
the business, while totally different operations work
co-operatively to maintain the highest levels of service.
